It's Finally Over!

So this week consisted of snow flurries, multiple presentations, a few finals, and a basketball game. I knew the ending of the semester was going to be hectic but I’m glad it’s finally over. Since September I’ve had difficulties keeping up in a few of my classes. I blame it on my time management techniques. There were a few times this semester when I felt the need to just give up. My finance class gave me the most difficulty. Although I received an –A for the course, and above a 3.6 GPA, I did have some doubt on my capability to deliver.

The first semester of the BBA program definitely enlightened my perspective about continuing my education and the importance of it. Last night my mother asked me “Mike, how long do you have left of your Bachelor’s degree?” and I said, “Just one year left.” It came to a reality when I responded “Just one year left.” My time at The College of Westchester will soon come to an end but I know I have so much left to do. I’m looking forward to what to 2011 has in store for me, in and outside of school.

Productivity

As I look back on this week, I realize how much fun the ending of the semester turned out to be. I didn't drink coffee at all this week but for some strange reason, I was highly energetic. My main task was to complete and hand in any assignments that I knew were the easiest, this way I can focus on big projects. On top of my never ending busy work load, I had to host CW Idol. This was the second presentation of CW Idol on behalf of the SGA and it was great.

Next week for my Marketing Management class, I have to present for guests and classmates. I'm a slight bit nervous but I'm looking forward to it. I love getting up and entertaining people or just providing them with useful information. I also have a Statistics final next week along with an oral presentation for my Adult Development class and a possible Finance final as well. Classes end in exactly 2 weeks and I can't wait to finish up this semester.

Busy Week!

So, with the Pre-Career Fair, Career Fair, Scholarship Foundation Event, and basketball practice all behind me, I can take a step back and say “WOW” what a week. I wish I can rest up but I have so much to do. The semester is coming to an end and assignments are piling up. Luckily next week will be short, school is out for Thanksgiving and my professors are taking it easy with lectures. Assignments, final papers, final test and presentations all have a due date starting the week of November 29th. My Finance class is my only concern but I need to work harder to receive at least a B-.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, I won’t be blogging next week, I got the week off :)

Word of the week: Ubiquitous

Work, Work, Work

I’m sure all my readers have heard this concept of my blog before. As the semester whines down, fatigue is settling in my system. My classes are becoming more challenging and I feel a little bit of pressure. This past Wednesday I refused to endure the constant pressure of classes, so I took it upon myself to take a break. No, this is not a rebellious act, but simply The Museum of Natural History with my fellow Phi Theta Kappa Chapter members. It wasn’t the first time I went to the museum but joyful emotions came over me as I rekindled my childhood memories. It felt incredible to be out of school just for a day. Nonetheless, my trip to New York City allowed me to be grateful of the opportunities that are given to me every day.

Exactly one month until the semester is over!

Goodbye Busy October

October was the busiest month for me this year thus far. I’m still tired from my event last night at the Westchester County Association. The organization was celebrating 60 years of service to Westchester County. A part from work events, classes seem to be getting more challenging. Mid-term grades are finally in. I wasn’t so enthusiastic about my grades but I know at the end of the semester, things will get better.

My 8
th grade teacher once told me, “Living an optimistic lifestyle is imperative”. I’ve kept this concept for years and it has been working for me. As long as I continue to work hard throughout the semester, I know my grades and everything else in my life will be just fine.

Happy

So the week has finally come to an end and I’m beyond happy to start my weekend. I had two midterms, and two term papers to hand in this week. I had approximately 5.5 hours of sleep every day since Sunday night and I’m ready to get some much needed rest. Apart from school, everything in my life is going great. I’ve never been more happier and enthusiastic. Next week I have about three work events and new segments for each of my classes. The BBA Program at CW just keeps getting more challenging. Everyone constantly tells me to “hang in there” but sometimes I just feel like running away to a much quieter place; my bed perhaps. December 2011… hurry up already!
