Here We Go Again!

NY just got slammed AGAIN with a huge snow storm. Funny how meteorologists were confident that we would only get about 6-9 inches, unfortunately, we received about 19-22 inches. This past week has left me super happy but exhausted simultaneously. I have a 3 page paper due sometime next week and also have a couple of quizzes.

Club day at The College of Westchester is on Wednesday, February 2nd and I also have an event that same night at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in White Plains. The Westchester County Association is hosting the Young Professionals Networking event and I’m excited to go. Along with my busy schedule, I have a game against Brazen Fox. We’ve lost 2 games in a row and this game is a must win!

Nasty Winter!

We’ve been slammed with nasty weather these past couple of weeks and we have more coming our way. I just wish summer would come already. Winter is the most dreadful season (except Christmas of course) but the snow, sleet, black ice, and never ending rain seems to ruin all the happiness in people. Aside from this winter mix, classes are going fairly well for me. The constant interactions I received through my instructors and class mates are making my time in the BBA program worthwhile. I’m especially looking forward to the upcoming weeks in several of my classes where I have to present project ideas and more.

I’m crossing my fingers in hopes that my next blog entry won’t be about the weather. By the way, GO New York JETS!

Vacation Extension?

All around the college, I’ve been hearing students wishing they had a longer vacation and hoping for their first semester to be over soon. In a daze of laughter, I pictured myself in their shoes when I first started at CW exactly 2 years ago. I’ve come a long way, and with less than 11 months left as a student pursuing his Bachelor’s, I’m in no rush for school to be over. I need to soak in all the challenges that have been set in place for me and I will overcome them with positive results. It’s about to be the 3rd week of school as the work load continues to pile up for me. I am looking forward to having Martin Luther King, JR day off.

Back to Reality

Happy New Year Everyone! This vacation went a little bit too fast. I finished my first semester of the BBA program with a 3.7 GPA. It was challenging and overwhelming but I knew failure wasn’t an option. Apart from all the happiness, the ending of the year was somewhat rough. The New Year for me meant a fresh start. I’m taking 5 courses this semester, in which 3 of them are back to back. There is no time to fall behind. I’m looking forward to winter being over and for me to be one more step closer to completing my Bachelor’s degree at CW.
