This week I attended the Entry Level Management Career Fair at The College of Westchester. I met with an employer and instantaneously, I was intrigued in what opportunities they had to offer for Internships and future employment. I’m really hoping to get a call for an interview. Doing an Internship with them would be the perfect opportunity to enter their Management Trainee Program and jump start my career. This event really made me realize how ready I am to start a career. I’m hoping to get into a Masters Degree program for Marketing Management as well. I know I’m on the right path for success but sometimes I wish I can just fast forward to the future and see what my life would be like.

Productive as always
So this week was pretty smooth; one work event, one school event and many assignments. The weather has been anything but beautiful. Torrential downpour caused my week to be stressful and draining. A part from that, CW’s commencement ceremony is only 2 weeks away and I was asked to help assist the Media Resources Department on a few tasks. The office of Career Services is having an Entry Level Management Trainee Career Fair next week, and I’m the process of critiquing my résumé. This is a perfect opportunity for me to see what internship opportunities are available as well as future employment.
P.S Summer needs to come quick!

Laid Back
Although it was the 2nd week of school and I was beyond overwhelmed with what this semester had in store for me, fortunately, I don’t have homework this weekend! My work load in the office is a lot because my co-worker is out sick with a virus but I am getting the work done. Next week will be an extremely long week for me as I have 2 events, and the Sigma Beta Delta induction ceremony. Mostly, I’m really looking forward to just relaxing. I know a 3 week vacation just past but I didn’t get the opportunity to actually rest. On a positive note, I’m really glad to be back in school learning and exploring. Just 6 more months of college and I’m done. And no, I will not start a countdown as I did in the past, instead I’ll embrace these next couple of months.
FYI, where is summer?

The 2nd to Last Semester
Last Wednesday started the 2nd to last semester at CW for me. I participated at the student orientation panel the day before, and as I was answering questions, I realized that I’ve come a long way since starting back in January of 2009. I’m excited that school will be over in less than 6 months but I know I must embrace every moment I have left at the college because a new journey awaits. I have a great composure when it comes to change and I know that this is just the beginning of greater things in store for me. I’m taking 5 courses this semester and the only one I find most difficult is my Intermediate Finance class. Last semester I obtained a 3.95 GPA and before I graduate, I’m aiming for a 4.0. Ultimately, I just hope that this will be a great summer and an even better semester, and all my hard work these past 2 ½ years will definitely pay off.
