Progress

As promised, I was super productive this week. I caught up on a lot of my assignments as well as duties for my internship. I do wish I had some down time to go out this weekend but my motto at the moment is “school first”. Nonetheless, I literally have less than 2 months of school left. Sometimes I daze and wonder where these 2 years and 9 months of attending The College of Westchester went; it flew by fast! There’s still so much to do as midterms are next week. I have about 4 papers to hand it and still lots of writing to do. On a side note, being a social butterfly, nothing is truly set in stone. One way or the other, I’ll end up on the streets of New York having a good time (laugh out loud.)

Have a great weekend everyone, and don’t forget… be safe!

All Work and No Play!

I believe I prepared myself mentally when it came to working fulltime as well as attending school fulltime. One thing I underestimated was the toll it would take on my body physically. Although my mother claims that I’ve not been eating, I think it’s all in my head. I’ve been telling myself that I need to be more serious. For the first time ever, I missed school for an entire week. I didn’t skip class or I wasn’t sick; duty called and I had to attend a mandatory 3-day training session at JFK airport. I worked 50 hours this week and now I know what it feels like to be an adult. No pampering from fellow colleagues or close relatives, no more sudden complaints to get what I want; this is the real world. Despite missing class, I am happy that I was able to get away from school for just a week. Although I missed some assignments and I have to catch up, now I know that pursing my Master’s degree next year and working fulltime will not be a walk in the park but I’m definitely ready.

Looking forward to catching up on my Internship and other assignments next week.

Waiting for the weekend!

Despite me being sick, I had a great week. Working 10-12 hour days at Hertz takes an immense toll on me but I make up for it by lots of optimism and productivity. It’s Thursday, and my week has been great. I also caught up on some of the assignments, which I had procrastinated on since early September. To be honest, having to only go to school two days a week from 8-1PM is one of the main reasons of my procrastination. Don’t get me wrong, I love my schedule, but I’m not used to all the freedom. I guess this will be perfect practice for when I attend grad school next spring. I’m sure my schedule will be the exact same just with more work. On a side note, my last semester of CW has been great so far. Time is moving so fast and it’s hard to keep up. Before we know it, Halloween will pass then Thanksgiving, finally Christmas and then New Years. My life will change once 2012 hits and I cannot wait.

Anyway, have a great weekend reader, be safe- don’t text and drive!
